More Venice

Last might Donna and I attended the opera at the famous and regal Teatro La Fenice. We saw the 18-year-old Rossini's first opera, "La Cambiale di Matrimonio" (The Marriage Contract), which premiered in Venice in 1810. Very silly,  but very well done. And they had supertitles, both in Italian and English!

We saw more of the Biennale exhibits that are scattered all over the city. Lots of them make political statements.

A clever arrangement of swords that creates "DO NOT FEAR" as a shadow.
